It's always great to get out on a new course. Let's face it, a lot of the courses that golfers want to play are private clubs that are next to impossible to play. For Oregon Golf Association members, a new opportunity has arisen.
The OGA Tour is a new way to players to enjoy one-day events (non-competitive) at the regions best private, resort and daily fee courses. For reasonable greens fees, it's possible to go out with other OGA members and enjoy rounds of golf on courses you would otherwise not have access to.
The list of courses on this Summer's tour include Awbrey Glen, Riverside, Persimmon, Royal Oaks and Crosswater. Each of these great courses are private and awfully fun to play. There are also several great daily-fee courses like Lewis River and Aspen Lakes that you can enjoy.
This is a great deal for OGA members and, if we want to see it succeed, there have to be players who go out and support it. I hope to see a few of you signed up to play in a few of these great events. I recommened the June 22nd stop at Royal Oaks in Vancouver, one of the most spectacular courses in our area.
Registration is now open for just about all of the OGA Tour stops.
